Kohtuotsa viewing platform

Kohtuotsa viewing platform is located on Toompea, not far from the Dome Cathedral. It is one of the most popular objects in Tallinn’s Old Town, from where you can enjoy a view of the historic part of the Estonian capital. Here you can also take a nice picture.

Description of the Kohtuotsa viewing platform

From Kohtuotsa Viewing platform you can admire both the ancient tiled roofs of houses and the modern city center. It is necessary to admit that the view from here is really impressive! You can see almost all the churches of Old Tallinn, including Oleviste and Niguliste, as well as the Town Hall tower.

From Kohtuotsa you can see the Pirita embankment and the Gulf of Finland. A short distance from the historic center you can see the passenger port, where ferries always stand ready to depart. To get a better view of the city, you can use a spyglass.

In the summer, souvenirs are sold on the Kohtuotsa site. In winter, you can warm up here with glög and eat almonds. In good weather, street musicians will please guests with their music.

By the way, there are telescopes on the viewing platform, with the help of which you can get a better look at the city sights. However, you will have to pay for the pleasure. The lens of the telescope opens only after you drop a coin into the hole in the telescope.
