Estonian Agricultural Museum

The Estonian Agricultural Museum is located near Tartu on the grounds of the former estate of Ülenurme. Its exhibition introduces the history and development of rural life in Estonia. The museum periodically hosts various thematic events.

Permanent Exhibition of the Agricultural Museum

The Agricultural Museum’s exhibition is spread across several buildings, as well as an outdoor area. There are six large thematic exhibitions in total. Each of them provides insights into different sectors of agriculture.

The “Agriculture and Rural Development Through the Ages” exhibition explores the development of the sector from ancient times to the present day. The “Poultry Farming in Estonia” hall offers insights into bird breeding farms. In the barn, visitors can see both agricultural and domestic animals.

An entire hall of the museum is dedicated to beekeeping and honey production. In one of the hangars, visitors can view antique machinery. Outdoors, cargo trucks, tractors, and combines used in agriculture during the collective farm era are on display.
